Our Complete Person Method of Representation
He or she is not a statistic or a member of a general category always expected to performs the same way.
Each child is a unique masterpiece of passions and personal dreams, challenges met and unmet, hopes and fears, and special talents known and yet to be discovered.
Maryland Juvenile Lawyer Marc G. Snyder understand the unique risks facing our children, the daily challenges that make each day a mine-field of potential dangers, and the importance of making a positive difference in their lives. When a child enters the Juvenile Justice System, the priority must be to see that child through the process with as little permanent consequences as possible, while doing what is necessary to ensure a positive future.
Admittedly, this is a challenging task. Children are often more resistant to outside assistance than their adult counterparts, and they often cannot see how their current predicament might affect their future in a number of ways. For these reasons and more, it is necessary that those adults closest to the child must rally their resources and work together to ensure the child's progress and success.
Through years of representing youth in the Juvenile Justice System, the Law Offices of Marc G. Snyder has developed a unique and effective method of representation that has proven very effective in terms of both case results, and positive change in the child's life.
We call this the Complete Person Method. In it's simplest terms, the Complete Person Method does just what it says: it takes the child as a complete person, considering all aspects of the child's life so far, from childhood development, through education and social interaction.
Our office feels that to best represent a child in the juvenile system, we must be ready to present the child as a complete person, able to educate all those involved on the various parts of that child's life. No aspect of a child's life is too small or inconsequential to play a role in the defense of the child. Unlike the adult system where the State's Attorney's Office and the Courts are most concerned with the facts related to the charges at hand, the Juvenile Justice System makes it clear that they want to know as much as possible about the child in question.
As your child's legal representative, we feel it is our responsibility to acquire this information, whether from parents or guardians, educators, friends, or other productive sources. Only by truly understanding who the child is, can we develop the most effective representation strategy for the present situation.
Our office takes into consideration your child's family, medical and educational history, prior involvement with the legal system, special talents or passions, past successes, challenges overcome, as well as many other factors. The better we can "educate" the Courts about the child, the more willing the Courts are in working with the child towards a better future.
We look at how the child has grown up, the particular environment he or she has had to face, including the advantages and disadvantages of living life in the place they call "home." We know that we are all, to some degree, a product of our environment. Where we live, who we live with, who our friends are all combine to create the life that each child must navigate on a daily basis.
The Complete Person Method is our way of addressing each and every juvenile as an individual person, with his or her own strengths, abilities, and dreams of a positive and productive future. We learn all about the child we are working with, including those challenges that make him or her unique and worth fighting for.
Our Complete Person Method has been developed to best meet the objectives of the juvenile court system and the goals of the Judges and Masters who hear and decide these matters. We know what the Court is looking for when they are deciding your child's case. We understand what the "system" values and finds most important, and we provide that information in a form most favorable to your child. In the end, the process becomes more of a partnership than an adversarial exercise; we work together to see that your child's future remains full of hope.
